Marketing Manager – Big SNOW

Big SNOW American Dream is bringing year-round, real-snow indoor skiing and snowboarding to North America this Fall.  We are currently looking for a Marketing Manager to join our management team to help drive the brand and ensure we are providing world-class experiences for our guests and team members.

 

The Marketing Manager will be responsible for overseeing and executing on all marketing and sales related functions associated with Big SNOW.   They will be expected to help drive and execute on marketing plans that elevate the overall Big SNOW brand and customer experience while driving brand awareness and sales. The Marketing Manager will be responsible for overseeing on-site group and sales for the property and will work closely with the VP of Marketing and other department managers to see that all of the facility’s marketing related needs are being met.  The Slope Manager will be a key member of Big SNOW’s Senior Leadership Team responsible for ensuring that Big SNOW’s vision, mission and values are being realized through our on-snow experiences and team members.

Essential Functions:

  • Work with the VP of Marketing to develop marketing programs for Big SNOW that focus on creating brand awareness, acquisition and retention of guests, and driving sales and visitation
  • Ability to manage cross-channel marketing plans to budget and deadline
  • Ability to manage and lead small teams and coordinate well with other managers and outside resources
  • Ability to translate brand vision and voice into effective marketing campaigns through written and visual communication
  • Management of a 12-month marketing calendar to ensure that all deliverables are met on schedule while reacting to any market changes as they arise
  • Oversees labor management and expenditures to ensure that department and resort financial objectives are met
  • Strong knowledge of current digital media platforms, channels and trends with ability to manage hands-on:  Social Media, CRM, Email Marketing, CMS and Analytics
  • Knowledge of current snow sports industry trends and brands
  • Ability to collaborate and manage outside agencies, creative and shared service resources
  • Ongoing monitoring, analysis, and reporting on business results, competitive landscape and opportunities within the market that may affect marketing plans
  • Collaborate with marketing team and other managers to prioritize marketing initiatives across the entire resort to best deliver on business goals
  • Ability to lead and structure weekly departmental meetings
  • Be a cultural ambassador for Big SNOW’s guests and team members
  • Additional duties as required at the direction of the VP of Marketing

Job Qualifications:

  • 3-5 years’ experience in brand side marketing (resort / hospitality or snow sports industry preferred)
  • Passion for snow sports and/or resort management
  • Ability to ski or snowboard
  • Previous management experience of at least 1-2 employees
  • Proven experience with project and budget management
  • Ability to understand basic financial and business reporting
  • Previous hands on experience with: digital advertising, social media platforms for business, email marketing and website management
  • Graphic Design and/or digital video production skills a plus
  • Must have strong project management skills, attention to detail, and ability to easily collaborate in a flexible and creative manner
  • Extremely organized and able to manage multiple projects at one time
  • Flexibility of schedule – ability to work nights and weekends as required
  • Must have a valid driver’s license
  • Must be able to travel as needed to our sister resort – Mountain Creek (Vernon, NJ)
